Larry Brown interested in East Hampton High School coaching job
Brown is the only basketball coach to have won both an NBA and NCAA title
Brown, 76, said he has had an offseason home in East Hampton for 14 years. He said he’s considering coaching high school players because of the possibility that he will spend the entire year here for the first time.
Brown planned to attend open gym this week to meet with players. He also plans to sit down with Vasile-Cozzo to discuss specifics.
East Hampton went 18-3 last season and reached the Suffolk Class A final, losing to Harborfields. The school last won a Suffolk title in 2009, when it reached the Class A state final four. The Bonackers’ last state title came in 1989 in Class B.
