Phil Jackson reportedly talked with Luke Walton for Knicks head coaching job

Luke Walton has already talked with Knicks and Nets for the head coaching job. The Nets have already hired Kenny Atkinson as head coach for the future.

Per NY Post, Warriors assistant coach Luke Walton already has interviewed with several teams about their head-coaching vacancies, including the Knicks and Nets, according to multiple NBA sources.

According to a source, Knicks president Phil Jackson has spoken with Walton in a phone interview. The Post previously reported the Warriorswould give Walton permission to talk to other teamsas long as it doesn’t interfere with their playoff run.
A league source said Walton could stay with the Warriors another season, and he isn’t close to deciding what to do.
