Cavs unlikely to re-sign Timofey Mozgov this offseason
The Cavs are trying to trade the Russian big man
The Cleveland Cavaliers won’t try to re-sign Timofey Mozgov from July if they don’t trade him ahead of the deadline.
Per Cleveland.com (via RealGM): Mozgov has a very tradeable $5 million salary for this season and he'll be an unrestricted free agent.
The Cavaliers have been playing smaller, plus they have Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson and Anderson Varejao also playing big man minutes.
Mozgov appeared to be a possible max contract player last season, but that is unlikely after his disappointing season.
