The Cleveland Cavaliers have Sasha Kaun in their radars for next season.
The big man will likely leave CSKA Moscow in July and may land in the NBA where he was selected by the Sonics with the 56th pick of the 2008 Draft (He was the final draft pick in Sonics history, before the franchise moved to Oklahoma City).
The Cavaliers acquired Kaun’s NBA rights for cash consideration and they are thinking to bring him overseas. Kaun, born in 1985, is a product of Kansas and is averaging 9.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in Euroleague this season.
Kaun has been coached by Blatt with Russian National Team and won the bronze medal at Olympic Games in London.
The center would team up with another Russian big, Timofey Mozgov. According to sources, Kaun already informed CSKA Moscow he will leave after the season.
