Tim Duncan passed Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the all-time leader in postseason minutes during the Spurs’ 107-86 victory over the Heat in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Thursday.
Abdul Jabbar logged 8,851 minutes in 237 playoff games. Duncan broke the record in four fewer games and has now played 8,870 minutes.
San Antonio has made the playoffs in every one of Duncan’s 17 seasons and he was sidelined by injury only once (2000; meniscus tear).
