Even though Wednesday's press conference focused on Randy Wittman's contract extension, it figured there might be a direct question concerning one the players. Not sure how many would have guessed a question about Tomas Satoransky.

Yet Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld did indeed receive a query regarding the 2012 second-round selection's availability for the upcoming Las Vegas Summer League. The 6-foot-7 Satoransky, a member of the Czech National team along with ex-Wizard Jan Vesely, spent the past season playing professionally in Spain.

"We hope to have him for summer league and talk to him," Grunfeld said. "He had a very good year over in Spain. He's one of the best players in the ACB [league] and [his team is] still in the playoffs."

CSNwashington previously reported that Washington invited and expect Satoransky to play in Las Vegas. The summer league starts July 11.

Satoransky, who played in 2012 summer league with the Wizards, is averaging 12.4 points and 4.6 assists according to the ACB league site. The lengthy point guard known for his court vision and leaping ability is in the final year of his contract.
