Jamine Peterson inks with Thunderbirds

Jamine Peterson, automatically eligible for the upcoming NBA Draft after leaving after his junior year at Providence College, has been acquired by the NBA D-League's New Mexico Thunderbirds, according to his agent, Mike Naiditch.
The 22-year-old Peterson, a 6-foot-6 forward who led Providence College with 19.6 points and 10.2 rebounds last season on his way to being the only player in the Big East to average a double-double, was dismissed by Providence for "violating team rules" after last season and decided to begin his career overseas.
