BayHawks sign Ahearn and trade Jackson
Il giocatore ha iniziato la stagione a Teramo
The Erie BayHawks made two separate roster moves today by reacquiring sharpshooting guard Blake Ahearn, and trading point guard Cedric Jackson to the Idaho Stampede in exchange for Idaho's 2011 first-round draft spot.
Ahearn (6-2, 180 lbs), who is returning to the NBA Development League after a short stint in Italy, played in 13 games for Erie last season posting averages of 25.7 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.5 rebounds in 45.1 minutes of play. He was Erie's leading scorer in 7 of those games which included posting a franchise-high 38 points in a game, a feat that he did twice within four days (March 15 win in Utah and March 19 loss against Dakota).
Ahearn is scheduled to meet up with the team in Portland, Maine and is likely to be in uniform on Thursday night when the BayHawks play the Maine Red Claws.
In a separate move, the BayHawks traded Jackson to secure an additional top pick in next year's draft.
