Ben Wallace is back in basketball.
The former NBA champion became part owner of the Grand Rapids Drive, the G-League franchise affiliate to the Detroit Pistons.
Per MLive, He is expected to be formally introduced next week.
The 43-year-old Wallace, who met with Drive season-ticket holders Thursday, said he will be "full-time involved" in everything from working with the Drive and Pistons, being a part of Drive-related marketing and learning the business side of the league.
"It was just the right fit," Wallace said in an interview with MLive before Thursday's game at the DeltaPlex. "It's an opportunity for me to get back in basketball. It's an opportunity for me to learn the business side of basketball, something I've wanted to do. And this gives me an opportunity to ease into it and learn as we go."
