Nigerian national team member Ike Nwamu will join the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA G League as a returning rights player for the 2017-18 season, a source told Sportando.
A former UNLV guard, Nwamu was selected with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2016 NBA G League Draft by the Skyforce. In his rookie season, he averaged 9.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and one assist per game for the Miami Heat's G League affiliate team.
After the season with the Skyforce, Nwamu made the Nigerian national team final roster to participate in the 2017 AfroBasket. In 6 games, he averaged 14.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists as Nigeria won the silver medal.
