Sources: Tyrell Corbin to enter NBA G League Draft
He played for the Charlotte Hornets in the Orlando Summer League
Free-agent point guard Tyrell Corbin, son of Phoenix Suns assistant coach Tyrone Corbin, has signed an NBA G League contract and will be draft eligible, sources told Sportando.
Corbin, a 6-foot-1 point guard out of Cal State Bakersfield, played in Montenegro and Mongolia before having a dominant season in Indonesia, where he averaged 24.9 points per game and was named IBL Defensive Player of the Year.
Corbin played for the Charlotte Hornets in the 2017 Orlando Summer League. He recorded 6 points, one rebound and 2.3 assists in 3 games with the Hornets summer league squad and showed some good scoring abilities despite playing limited minutes.
The 2017 NBA G League Draft is scheduled for October 21st.
