NBA veteran forward Glen Davis is considering playing the NBA G League in order to show teams that he wants to return to the NBA.

"It’s a great opportunity to show all 30 teams that I can play without getting hurt," Davis told Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated. "They can see what I can still do. This is the best opportunity to make my steps back to the NBA.”

Glen "Big Baby" Davis last played in the NBA in 2015. In eight years, he averaged 8 points and 4.4 rebounds over 21.1 minutes per game and won an NBA title as a rookie with the Boston Celtics in 2008.

The NBA G League can sign Davis in order to make him eligible for the G League Draft which will take place on October 21.

Former NBA forward-center and current Delaware 87ers GM Elton Brand said he would have interest in signing or drafting Davis if the opportunity presented itself.

“If that’s true that he wants to return to the NBA, my belief is the G League is the best way to show it,” Brand told Marc J. Spears. “It shows that you are hungry. A lot of the G League teams are trying to run the same sets offensively and defensively that they are running in the NBA. That is a great thing.
