“First of all, we really appreciate the support from the schools that came today,” Head Coach Mark Daigneault said. “We are incredibly proud that we can break the attendance record because there are that many people that are interested in our program.”

Reggie Williams led the way with for the Blue by posting 23 points, adding four rebounds and three assists. Dakari Johnson had another big game with 16 points and is now averaging better than 18 points over his last 10 games.

The bench showed up for the Blue, scoring 34 points, with 17 coming from Chris Wright on 8-of-11 shooting.

After a back-and-forth game, Williams hit a 3-pointer to put them up by five with just over two minutes remaining. Johnson grabbed a crucial offensive rebound with 41 seconds left, forcing Long Island to foul and ultimatley sealing the victory for the Blue.

“At the beginning of the game they were beginning to leak out and getting out and running the floor,” Wright said. “We had to find a way to stop them in the second half. We did a good job of adjusting at half time and we were able to get stops down the stretch.”
