Head Coach Kevin Whitted Relieved of Duties
Craig Hodges will serve ad-interim coach
The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today that head coach Kevin Whitted has been relieved of his duties, effective immediately.
“Our focus remains on developing players and preparing them for the next step in their careers,” said Westchester Knicks General Manager Allan Houston. “The support from the fans and the entire community in our inaugural season has been tremendous. We wish Kevin the best in his future endeavors.”
In his first season as head coach, Whitted compiled a 10-36 record in the team’s inaugural season. Whitted was named the first head coach in the team’s history on October 8, 2014.
Assistant coach Craig Hodges will serve as interim head coach for the team’s remaining four games in the 2014-15 season.
