Westchester Knicks and Texas Legends unveil new advertisement-bearing jerseys

Westchester Knicks announced a partnership with Chase Bank and unveiled the new jersey for the season.

The new jersey offers another glimpse into what advertisements on jerseys could look like at the NBA level in the future.

Per Yahoo Sports, "As part of the relationship, Chase will receive prominent logo placement on the Westchester Knicks jersey," the team wrote in a statement. "The Chase logo will appear on both the home and road jerseys."

The Dallas Mavericks affiliate team too, the Texas Legends, announced a partnership with Chihuahua, Mexico.

"The NBA Development League’s Texas Legends and the state of Chihuahua, Mexico have announced a historic partnership that will change the name of the Legends home court to Chihuahua Court, will include significant branding on the team’s jerseys and will relocate the Legends training camp in Chihuahua. “Over the past year, Eduardo Najera (Legends General Manager and Head Coach) and I have visited Chihuahua many times,” commented Legends Owner Donnie Nelson. “I always depart extremely impressed with the culture, hospitality, the beauty of the landscape, and the vision of the Chihuahuan leadership to continue to grow basketball and other sports within the country. As Eduardo’s home state, Chihuahua has a rich basketball tradition already, and we look to help grow and expand that tradition over the coming years.”

The partnership has been designed to promote economic relations and tourism between the state of Chihuahua and the city of Frisco, as well as to expand the international reach of the Legends and the NBA D-League.
