Aquille Carr starts to shine in D-League
The Baltimore native is playing in D-League with the Delaware 87ers
One of the most exciting teams in the D-League are the Deleware 87ers, affiliated with the 76ers.
In the roster there are several intriguing players, starting from Thanasis Antetokounmpo (12 points with 4.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks, 45% from the field, 34% from long range, 86% FT), the elder brother of the 'Greek-freak'.
Then there are 20 year-old big man Norvel Pelle ( 5 blocked shots yesterday in the loss to Idaho ) and the former 2012 Lottery pick Kendall Marshall (21.6 points with 5 rebounds, 9.2 assist and 1.8 steals, 53% from long-range in the 5 games played).
But the real attraction is Aquille Carr, a Baltimore product (one of his nicknames? 'The crime stopper', for his alleged effect on the city's crime rate...) known for having skipped college (he had chosen Seton Hall) after a spectacular high school career.
After a quiet start in the last two games he had 44 total points with 51% from the field, going to challenge the opponents big man in the paint despite being well below the six-foot ....
This is his shooting chart of the two games:
Of course, he and MCW would form a nice and unconventional backcourt in Philadelphia...
