Caja Laboral signs David Jelinek

Caja Laboral Vitoria is shaking things up at the shooting guard position by signing sharpshooter David Jelinek. Jelinek (1.95 meters, 22 years old) is a native of the Czech Republic, but played much of the past five seasons with DKV Joventut Badalona and its second teams. This season Jelinek started with Olin Edirne in Turkey, where he averaged 12.5 points and a team-best 2.6 assists in 15 Turkish League games. He played five Eurocup games for Badalona during the 2009-10 season, however Caja Laboral will be his first Euroleague club. Over the years Jelinek has represented the Czech national team at every junior level and this past summer was a starter for the senior team in the EuroBasket 2013 qualifying games.
