Valencia's Joan Sastre expected to miss several weeks
He will be out with a fractured bone in his hand
Valencia Basket small forward Joan Sastre is expected to be sidelined for several weeks due to a fractured bone in his right hand. Sastre got injured in his team's Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game against Olympiacos Piraeus. He went for a dunk, had a bad fall after that and was not able to return to the game. Further tests confirmed that Sastre fractured the pisiform bone - situated where the ulna joins the wrist - in his right hand. Sastre will undergo an initial treatment which is expected to last for a month, and will start therapy after that. Sastre has averaged five points on 40% three-point shooting and 2.4 assists in seven Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games so far this season.
