Valencia Basket announced Monday that All-EuroCup swingman Fernando San Emeterio has agreed to a new contract that will keep him wearing orange through the end of the 2018-19 season. San Emeterio (1.99 meters, 33 years old), who originally joined Valencia in the summer of 2015, was already under contract for the coming season. A former All-EuroLeague selection and a veteran of 143 games in Europe's premier competition from his time with Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz, San Emeterio comes off a season in which he averaged 9.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 23 7DAYS EuroCup contests. A two-time Spanish League champion and the 2011 Spanish League MVP, San Emeterio has also been a regular with the Spanish national team, with which he captured gold medals at EuroBasket 2011 and 2015 and bronze medals in 2013 and 2017 plus an Olympic silver medal in 2012.
