The Assembly of the Spanish League, meeting earlier today in Madrid has unanimously approved an income budget of more than 30 million euros for the 2016-17 season, the highest in the story of the competition.
The increase in TV revenues, along with sponsorship derivatives and naming rights, as well as the management of events will make the year 2016-17 the first in the history in which the ACB exceeds 30 million euros.
The Association's revenue will grow for the fifth consecutive season, more than double than four years ago figures (14.1 million in 2012-13) and 15% more than last season (25.5 in 2015-16).
The clubs have also approved by unamination the economic closure of the 2015-16 season, which has generated a distribution of 10.5 million euros among the clubs.
Francisco Roca, President of the ACB, explained that negotiations will begin for the renewal of the title Sponsor, as the contract with Endesa ends next June 30. The Assembly has agreed to incorporate a club committee to the negotiation.
