Doellman is becoming citizen of Kosovo
Justin Doellman is close to becoming a citizen of Kosovo and is also close to signing a contract extension with FC Barcelona.
The goal of Doellman is to get the passport from Kosovo, play for the National Team in Eurobasket 2017 Qualifiers and play with Bosman status in ACB. But the Secretary General of Sports, Miguel Cardenal, said that that passport is not valid in Spain.
“We are anticipating a lot of things but without any doubt that passport in Spain has no validity” Cardenal told El Mundo Deportivo. “This passport in Spain is not valid because Kosovo is not a country and because it is not recognized by Spain. So neither Doellman nor any other player could be registered from a country that Spain doesn’t recognize” Cardenal added.
