Unicaja Malaga ready to ask for a Wild Card if Baskonia kicks them out
Unicaja risks not to participate at the next Euroleague if the lose against Baskonia today

Unicaja Malaga is passing through a serious risk: the impossibility to participate at the next Euroleague. The point is very simple, la Opinion de Malaga reports: Malaga needs to win today against Laboral Kutxa or it won't be allowed to take part at the next Euroleague.
Why? It's simple. Board of Euroleague decided to cut the number of Licences A for Spanish teams from four to three. Last season Barcelona, Real Madrid, Laboral and Unicaja had it, but now the situation will change.
If Baskonia will defeat Malaga it will be the third team with Licence A and the fourth one will be one between Bilbao and Valencia.
To react to this danger Malaga is trying to reach an invitation via Wild Card. It won't be simple, because Euroleague decided to give four Wild Cards to nations that represent great market windows for the event: one for a French team, another one for a Turkish team, a third one for a German team and the last one for a British team.
Unicaja is convinced that it can persuade the Euroleague to give them an invitation, but if it shouldn't be able to reach the Wild Card the Spanish team would be compelled to play in Eurocup.
