According to Encestando, the ACB clubs reached an agreement in principle to allow also ACB coaches to be hired as Spain NT head coach.
In Spain there is a rule since 2002 that doesn’t allow coaches with contract in Liga Endesa to be appointed as head coach of the National Team.
