Unicaja Malaga extends Zoran Dragic for two more years
The Slovenian will remain in Malaga

Unicaja Malaga extended contract of one of its key players, announcing Tuesday night an agreement that keeps swingman Zoran Dragic in Malaga for the next two years. Dragic (1.96 meters, 25 years old) has been one of team’s best performers last season, a fierce defender and second leading scorer with 10.9 points, along with 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 22 games. Standing out was his performance in Top 16 Round 9, when he had career-highs of 24 points, 4 steals, and index rating 30 in victory against Anadolu Efes Istanbul, earning weekly bwin MVP honors. It was his second season with the club during which he also averaged 10.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists in the Spanish League. Dragic started his professional career in Geoplin Slovan Ljubljana in his native Slovenia, and has also played a pair of seasons with Krka Novo Mesto, club he helped to a Eurochallenge title in 2011, before coming to Malaga in 2012. He is also a regular member of the Slovenian national team.
