Valencia keep Romain Sato for two more years
The forward remains in Valencia

Eurocup defending champ Valencia Basket, getting ready for its comeback to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague next season, announced on Tuesday the re-signing of Romain Sato for the next two campaigns. Sato (1.94 meters, 33 years old) averaged 9.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist in 24 Eurocup appearances last season, all as a starter. He was also chosen as best forward of the Spanish League last season, too. Sato had a long, successful run with Montepaschi Siena that lasted four seasons coinciding with the rise of the team to Italian supremacy. In 2010, Sato moved to Greece to sign with Panathinaikos Athens and in 2011 he was crowned Euroleague champ at the Barcelona Final Four with the Greens. In the summer of 2012, he moved to Istanbul to sign with Fenerbahce Ulker and then moved on last summer to join Valencia to play the Eurocup. After winning it, the team earned a spot in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague regular season and Sato became just the 12th player to win both competitions.
