Real Madrid extends Marcus Slaughter till 2014
The big man will stay in Madrid

Spanish champ Real Madrid announced on Tuesday that big man Marcus Slaughter will stay with the team for one more season. Slaughter (2.04 meters, 28 years old) was one of the main pillars last season, in which Real Madrid won the Spanish League and arrived to the Turkish Airlines Euroleague title game, losing to Olympiacos Piraeus. Slaughter averaged 5.0 points and 3.6 rebounds in 29 Euroleague games. Slaughter is a veteran globetrotter who has played in several teams. It wasn't until 2011-12, with Brose Baskets Bamberg, that he exploded in the Euroleague and became one of the most dominant players in the competition, earning him a place in the Real Madrid roster.
