36ers sign import point guard Eddie Shannon

The Adelaide 36ers are hopeful that immigration paperwork will be approved as soon as possible to allow new signing Eddie Shannon to take the court this Friday night in Wollongong.
The 36ers have signed the 5'11" veteran of nine years in Europe with the hope of him being the on court floor leader the team is seeking.
Throughout his European career Shannnon has won many team and individual accoloades including being nominated for the Adriatic League All Defensive Team in 2009.
A graduate of the famed University of Florida program Shannon also has spent time alongside former NBL MVP Chris Anstey in Russia.
Anstey said of Shannon, "He is a great playmaker who shoots the ball well and can finish at the rim as well."
"He will be a great representative of the 36ers as he is a great team mate who needs zero maintenance,"Anstey added
Head Coach Marty Clarke said of the new recruit, "Eddie is a seasoned point guard with great decision making and shooting skills, he will make this team instantly better."
The 36ers expect Shannon to arrive in Adelaide today (Wednesday).
