Casper Ware returns to Melbourne United
Ware is back to Australia
Melbourne United have completed the final piece of puzzle today announcing the signing of star import Casper Ware for the 2017-18 NBL season.
The 27-year old American quickly became a fan-favourite when he joined the Club in Round 7 of the 2016-17 season, taking out the Club’s Most Valuable Player honours and being named in the All-NBL First Team.
With the opportunity to have a full pre-season under his belt and the addition of some explosive new talent alongside him, Ware is looking forward to returning to the NBL in Melbourne.
“I’m feeling very excited about heading back to a place that I love playing at” Ware shared from the US.
“I feel really comfortable coming back there and that was a big part of my decision. Being around the fans and the Melbourne United organisation – they just all make it feel like home”.
It’s been a busy off-season for the point-guard who has spent time playing in several countries around the globe during his time away.
Immediately following the 2016-17 season, Ware headed to France to play for ASVEL alongside fellow Melbourne star Dave Andersen.
