Casper Ware inks with Melbourne United
The guard moves to Australian NBL
Melbourne United is delighted to announce that import point guard Casper Ware has signed with the Club for the rest of the season, subject to a medical clearance.
At 178 cm tall, the 26 year old American most recently played in the NBA in the Washington Wizards pre-season training camp.
Ware spent the end of last season with ASVEL Basket in France, alongside new Melbourne United teammate David Andersen. Averaging 12.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game, Ware led the team back from a 2-0 trail against Strasbourg in the best-of-five championship series in the French league’s top division, and was named finals most valuable player after scoring a championship clinching 27 points in the decider.
