Josh Childress signs with Adelaide 36ers
The NBA veteran was in training camp with the Denver Nuggets
NBA veteran Josh Childress has signed a one-year deal with the Adelaide 36ers of the Australian NBL, the team announced.
Childress was in training camp with the Denver Nuggets before getting waived.
He was the sixth overall pick in the 2004 NBA draft by Atlanta Hawks and played four seasons with the club before heading to Greece.
The 203cm forward returned to the NBA for stints with Phoenix, Brooklyn and New Orleans, before joining the Sydney Kings for the 2014-15 season.
The Californian played 31 games for the Kings across two seasons, putting up careers averages of 21-points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists and earning himself a sport in the 2015 All-NBL first team.
After the NBL he played with the Texas Legends in the NBA G League, the SAN-EN Neo Phoenix in Japan and also played with the Ball Hogs in Ice Cube’s BIG3.
