Another major boost for FIBA 3x3 with Tissot global partnership

FIBA, the International Basketball Federation, and Tissot, a leading Swiss watch manufacturer from the Swatch Group, on Thursdayannounced a new partnership revolving around FIBA 3x3 Basketball.

Under the agreement, Tissot becomes FIBA 3x3’s Official Timekeeper and continues to develop its major digital presence.

Tissot will present the Buzzer Beater clips featuring the most spectacular baskets scored at the buzzer during FIBA 3x3 competitions which are available to fans across FIBA3x3 digital platforms (as it is already the case in FIBA competitions). They will also bring the Last Minute series - introducing the last 60 seconds of the most exciting games of the season – and the Fastest Game! Features, which showcase the most talented teams that win games well before the 10-minute mark.

Tissot will enjoy extensive visibility around the court as well as on TV and livestreaming, thanks to on-screen credits displayed in connection with scores, data and statistics of games at all FIBA competitions.
Tissot will also activate exclusive sport-related assets by offering watches as awards to the top players and teams, as well as the most deserving fans.

FIBA Secretary General and International Olympic Committee (IOC) Member Patrick Baumann said: "FIBA and Tissot have had a very successful partnership for nearly a decade. This long-term relationship makes us confident that Tissot are an ideal partner to grow 3x3 basketball as the game prepares for its Olympic debut in Tokyo in 2020."

As part of the agreement, Tissot is granted exclusive rights in the product category of watches, clocks and timing/scoring system services across all of FIBA 3x3's international competitions. This includes all national teams cups (senior and age categories), Olympic Games Qualifiers and the top events of the professional circuit, known as the FIBA 3x3 World Tour.
