Ettore Messina thinks Maurizio Buscaglia should coach Italian National Team when he leaves

Ettore Messina, who will leave the Italian National Team after Eurobasket, thinks that Maurizio Buscaglia should succeed him as new head coach of Italy.
Buscaglia is the head coach of Trento and was selected by Ettore Messina as head coach of the Italian NT Under 20.

Italian Federation is looking for a new head coach and the candidates are Zeljko Obradovic (almost impossible), Sasha Djordjevic, Pino Sacripanti and also Ergin Ataman.

“If the Federation gave me the bench of the National Team when I was 33, they could do the same with Maurizio Buscaglia” Messina told L’Adige. “I have the merit of choosing him as coach of Under 20. This shows how big I consider him as a person and as a coach” Messina said.
