Navarro wants to play and beat Epi's record
Juan Carlos Navarro said that he would love to play Eurobasket 2017 for Spain National Team.
Navarro will decide at the end of the upcoming season but his goal is to play and beat Epi’s record of presences for Spain.
Navarro has played 237 games for Spanish National Team, two less than Epi (Felipe Reyes has 236 games for Spain).
“It is too early to say that a cycle is over in the National Team. Pau Gasol too said that he may play again for Spain next year. And I’ve never said that I am over with Spain. Everything will depend on how the season goes. I really want to play for Spain next summer. I think it is still a transition period for the National Team” Navarro said. “Beat Epi’s record is a motivation for me. I wish to have a good season with Barcelona, to win titles. And if I’ll feel well after the season and the coach wants me, I’d love to play Eurobasket 2017”.
