Bojan Bogdanovic: 'We know we are a good team'

Bojan Bogdanović had an interview with Sportske Novosti and he talked about his expectations out of upcoming FIBA World Cup, but also about his role with the Brooklyn Nets

He wasn't there for the start of training camp, but he still played all 3 games on exhibition tournament in France:

"I'm not a guy that's looking for excuses, so I just want to fit as soon as possible" says Bogdanović who joined Croatia NT last week:

"This year we're all confident and we know that we're good. We're playing in a group where we know we can fight for the first place, it's not unreachable, so we can play against 4th in the group we're crossing with in the next round, even though there are no weak teams. France could easily be 4th there, so we could play against them. I'm just saying, Šarić is so much better then last year, and we are all healthy unlike last year, if it stays that way we can do something."

About team goals he says:

"We made semifinals of Eurobasket last year, we did something, so we are now going to every championship knowing we can win a medal, we showed everybody that we can. I hope we will play against Spain in the semifinals, we need to be first in our group, and they need to be first in theirs, but I hope we can get to that semifinal."

Croatia will finally have NBA player next season after long time. Ukić was the last Croat that played in the NBA, but Bogdanović and Rudež will play in the NBA next season:

"I spent one day with the GM, and another day with coach Hollins. They are counting on me to be in rotation of the team. Now, is it going to be like that, I hope that it will. I hope I'll get a chance, and then everything is about me. Worst thing that can happen is that I won't get a chance, but I believe that's not going to happen."
