Russia expected to sign Sergey Bazarevich to a new contract to coach National Team

Andrei Kirilenko, president of the Russian Basketball Federation, met with Sergey Bazarevich, after the fourth position conquered at Eurobasket.
Kirilenko expressed to the coach his desire to continue together.

The two sides will discuss the details of the new contract soon.

“We did not discuss a new contract. We discussed the desire to work together further. I was worried by his exit interview at Eurobasket. Bazarevich said he wanted to finish his experience. But for me it is important to hear that he wants to continue to work with the team” Kirilenko said.
