Slovenia beat Serbia 93-85 to win its first Eurobasket title

Slovenia beat Serbia 93-85 to win its first Eurobasket.

Slovenia led for almost the entire game going at halftime up by 9 (56-47) with 26 points of Goran Dragic..


In the second half Luka Doncic went down with an ankle injury and left the court. Serbia cut Slovenia's lead and went up by 1 with a couple of baskets of Milan Macvan.

Klemen Prepelic, on fire in Istanbul, replied with a huge three pointer. With Goran Dragic and Doncic on the bench, Igor Kokoskov's team took another time the lead and won Eurobasket.

Goran Dragic ended with 35 points, Klemen Prepelic added 21 points, Randolph 11 points.

Bogdan Bogdanovic paced Serbia with 22 points, Milan Macvan added 18 points.

Slovenia finished Eurobasket unbeaten with 9 wins in 9 games.
