Howard Sant-Roos says he was close to signing with Baskonia

Howard Sant-Roos told Il Cittadino di Lodi that he was close to penning a deal with Baskonia after Davis Bertans’ injury.
The Basque team was on the market for a small forward and the deal with Assigeco Casalpusterlengo was almost finalized but it fell through because Cuba has never signed the cotonou agreement.
Sant-Roos, a forward from Cuba, will likely leave Casalpusterlengo after a season in which he had an average of 15.1 points and 4.2 assists per game.
