Claudio Toti turns down the proposal from AshleyMadison.com

Claudio Toti, owner of Virtus Roma, turned down the €1.5M proposal made by AshleyMadison.com to sponsor the team. The entire operation would have helped the Italian team to bring back to Roma, during the NBA lockout, Andrea Bargnani.
Claudio Toti in a press conference explained why he decided to reject the offer of AshleyMadison.com, a worldwide website who promotes infidelity.

"We want to continue our business in accordance with our principles. That's the reason why we don't accept the proposal of AshleyMadison.com. I did not have any pressure from outside" said Toti regarding the strong influence of Vatican in the Italian capital. I needed to do the right evaluations in front of such important proposal. I could not put into question eighty years of history of the company I represent. The sponsor could have helped us financially but it could have called into question some our principles. The future? I think that it is more correct to invest money in Silvano Toti Foundation than in sports. After so many millions invested in basketball, where too often I was alone, I am going to be more involved in social" added Toti.
