Virtus Roma set to hire Italian Basketball legend Riva as GM
Previsto un incontro tra Roma e l'ex stella del basket per il ruolo di GM
Virtus Roma today should hire Antonello Riva as GM. Former Italian basketball legend will have a meeting with Claudio Toti, owner of the team. If the two parts find an agreement, Riva will start immediately is new job.
The first target is to hire a head coach. Riva would love to have Luca Bechi at the helm of Virtus while Toti dreams of Svetislav Pesic, giving him a young and 'figthing' team.
Other names are Lino Lardo, Pino Sacripanti or a foreigner.
Regarding Bogdan Tanjevic. Former head coach of Turkish NT might stay in Virtus Roma as special consultant of the president.
As reported early today, Charles Smith is close to landing in Besiktas. Smith will gain around $425.000USD.
