Il lungo americano rimane nella capitale

Serie A

Lottomatica Roma and power forward Andre Hutson agreed to a deal that will keep them together for two more seasons, the club announced late Friday. Hutson (202, 30) is coming off a strong first season in the Italian capital during which he averaged 13.1 points and 5.7 rebounds in 16 Euroleague games. Hutson also produced 13 points and 6.2 boards per evening in the Italian League. He arrived to Roma from Efes Pilsen and has also played for Panionios, Peristeri, Makedonikos and Maroussi in Greece, Ural Great in Russia and Napoli in Italy. Hutson was a key force in leading Makedonikos to the 2005 ULEB Cup title game against Lietuvos Rytas. He had previously helped Michigan State University win the NCAA title in 2000. Hutson also reached the Greek League and FIBA Europe League finals with Maroussi in 2004. Hutson will lead the new Roma frontcourt this season, which includes center Andrea Crosariol and forward Herve Toure, who both signed with the club this week.
