Lottomatica tabs scorer Ruben Douglas

Dopo tante indiscrezioni, la Lottomatica ha ufficializzato l'arrivo di Ruben Douglas

Serie A

Lottomatica Roma improved its backcourt by inking scoring machine Ruben Douglas for the remainder of the season. Douglas (193, 29) arrives from Pamesa Valencia, where he averaged 10.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in eight Eurocup games this season. He broke Europe's second competition record for most three-pointers ever made in a game by making 9 triples against Khimki last year. Douglas has also played for Dynamo Moscow in Russia, Fortitudo Bologna in Italy and Panionios in Greece. He helped Dynamo to win the ULEB Cup title in 2006 and also lifted the Italian League trophy with Fortitudo in 2005, hitting a game-winning, eight-meter bomb in Game 4 of the best-of-five finals to win the series. "I am here to help the team, work hard and contribute. I know this is a good team, with experienced and young players," Douglas said. "I hope to provide energy and a positive attitude. I hope to help the team with my shooting skills, but also in defense and rebounding. Rome can be considered the most beautiful city in the world."
