Jeff Brooks says he hopes to get Italian passport by the end of next week
Brooks is married to an Italian woman and may debut with Italy in September
Jeff Brooks said that he is close to getting the Italian passport and hopes to have it by the end of next week.
Brooks, married to an Italian woman, could play for Italy in September if he gets the passport before September 3, the deadline to register the list of players for the games against Poland and Hungary.
Brooks signed a multi-year deal with Olimpia Milano and if he plays a game with Italy’s NT he can play as Italian in Serie A.
“We are still working on the passport, actually my wife is working on it” Brooks told Tuttosport. “We have ended the iter, we have to wait now. I hope that by end of next week, maybe earlier, the procedure will be over. I’d love to join Italy’s National Team” Brooks added.
If he joins Italian National Team, coach Meo Sacchetti has to decide in the qualifiers, game by game, between him and Christian Burns.
