Italian Serie A to change rules on foreigners from next season: clubs to choose between 5+5 or 6+6
There will be two options: 5+5 and 6+6
Italian Serie A will change the rule on foreigners from next season and till June 2022.
The two new formula will be:
5+5 or 6+6
With 5+5 the rosters will be with five Italians plus five foreigners (all of them could be extra EU). The clubs that will adopt this rule can compete for the prizes that the Federation will invest for the clubs that let more Italians play.
With 6+6 the rosters will be with five Italians plus five foreigners (all of them could be extra EU).
The decision has been made by the Italian Federation.
