Mirza Alibegovic inks with Orlandina Basket
The player remains in Serie A
Orlandina Basket penned a deal with the Italian guard Mirza Alibegovic (6’5, class of 1992), who played last season in Serie A PosteMobile League with Fiat Torino, averaging 7.8 points (50.6% on 2pts, 31.7% on opts, 70.8% on FT), 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 21.4 minutes per game. He went to double digit in 11 games (season high 17 points against Caserta), which is a mark of consistency coming off the bench.
In 2016, Mirza Alibegović was a great contributor to the promotion to Serie A PosteMobile of Leonessa Brescia, playing a great season in Serie A2 with 11 points (39.9% on opts), 3.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 27.9 minutes per game.
Mirza Alibegović’s father, Teoman, has been a great member of Slovenian National Team, he also played with Fortitudo Bologna, Pallacanestro Trieste and Amatori Udine during his career on the floor. He also served as General Manager with Fortitudo Bologna and Head Coach with Udine and Scafati.
