International Top Prospect Arnoldas Kulboka joins Orlandina Basket
It's official
Orlandina Basket adds the promising Lithuanian swingman Arnoldas Kulboka, bringing to Sicily a great international prospect.
Kulboka, born January 4th 1998 in Marijampolė (Lithuania), is a 6’9 forward who grew up with Zalgiris Kaunas’ youth teams before moving to Germany in 2015, where he signed a multi-year contract with the German champions Brose Baskets Bamberg. He made his Bundesliga debut this year, scoring 13 points plus 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in 22 minutes at Science City Jena.
The player joins Capo d’Orlando on loan.
The young Lithuanian is impressing international scouts: he scored 15.7 points plus 6.2 rebounds last year at FIBA U18 European Championship, getting a silver medal (28 points against France in the Championship game), then he was selected in the 2017 adidas All-Eurocamp 1st Team. He represented U19 Lithuanian team this summer at FIBA U19 World Cup at Cairo, Egypt, averaging 13.7 points per game plus 3.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
Kulboka already has a great skillset (ball-handling, passing, long range shooting) which made him a very fascinating talent.
Giuseppe Sindoni (Sports Director): “We are proud that a top class organization like Brose Bamberg trust us to develop such a big prospect, this is a great reward to the work we did with young European players in the last couple of years. Arnoldas Kulboka has an exciting combination of skills and size, this makes him a big prospect but he can already be important as a ‘senior’. We will give him oppurtinities and responsibilities to showcase his potential. We will rely on three backcourt talents like him, Mario Ihring and Vojislav Stojanović, which is very interesting to us”.
