Olimpia Milano officially signs Andrew Goudelock

Pallacanestro Olimpia EA7 Emporio Armani Milan agreed on terms with 1.91 mt guard Andrew Goudelock, coming from Maccabi Tel Aviv.
WHO’S GOUDELOCK – Born in Atlanta on December 8, 1988, Goudelock attended Stone Mountain High School in Georgia and eventually the College of Charleston from 2007 to 2011 when he was drafted by the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers with the 46st selection. At Stone Mountain he was named Georgia’s Player of the Year in 2007. In Charleston, as a senior, he averaged 23.4 points and was the fourth highest scoring player in the nation. Goudelock’s 40.7% three-point shooting was the nation’s second highest. He was voted an All-America honorable mention. During his four-year career, Goudelock appeared in 140 games, averaging 18.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. He spent his first pro season with the Los Angeles Lakers. His second season was mostly spent in the then D-League with Rio Grande and Sioux Falls. He averaged 21.5 points per game and was named MVP. He then joined the Lakers for the end of the regular season and the playoffs. Because of Kobe Bryant season-ending injury, he started during the playoffs and scored a career-high 20 points against the Spurs in game 3 of a first-round exit (he averaged 12.0 points per game in the post-season). He moved to Europe for the 2013/14 season when he was signed by Unics Kazan. That season he was voted Eurocup’s MVP and All-Eurocup first-team. In the Eurocup, he averaged 18.8 points and 3.1 assists per game. He was also voted Russian Cup’s MVP and VTB League’s MVP after averaging 20.1 points per game. Unics made it to the Eurocup’s finals. For the 2014/15 season he moved to Fenerbahce Istanbul where he was named to the All-EuroLeague Second Team while Fenerbahçe advanced to the Final Four for the first time in the team’s history. They lost the semifinal with Real Madrid, but Goudelock led his team with 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Goudelock finished his first EuroLeague season with the averages of 17.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game converting 46.0% of his threes. He spent the following year playing for Xinjiang in China averaging 22.1 points per game. He returned to the USA to finish the 2014/15 season with the Houston Rockets in the NBA. Finally he moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv. In one year there, he helped the team win the Israeli Cup. He scored 17.3 points per game in EuroLeague making 45.3% of his threes and 91.3% of his free-throws. In the Israeli League he averaged 15.3 points per game, shooting 51.7% from three while making 43 of his 47 free throws.
NOTES – On November 13, 2014, Goudelock set the EuroLeague record in three point field goals made, with 10, in a 93–86 victory over Bayern Munich. He finished the game with 34 points… Goudelock led the 2016-17 Israeli League in 3-point shooting percentage (51.7%) and in free throw shooting percentage (91.5%)…He was named to the 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11 All-Southern Conference 1st Team… He led Unics Kazan to the 2014 Russian Cup win.
