Cinciarini is the new captain of Olimpia Milano. Proli: Gentile has to prove he is a man

Alessandro Gentile is no more the captain of Olimpia Milano.
The new captain of the Italian champions is Andrea Cinciarini, as Livio Proli, president of the team, told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Alessandro Gentile needs to understand if he is still a boy or a mature man. He is still a player of Olimpia Milano but he has to show that the three-year deal that he has with us reflects what I saw in him a year and a half ago and I have not fully seen during the last season. He had a psychological breakdown and coming into the playoffs he had so much insecurity. His selfish statements post “scudetto” (he told the reporters that he was going to leave Olimpia Milano during the summer) brought the attentions of the entire Italian basketball on him and not on Olimpia Milano. He is still part of the system. If he’ll be able to be a man in this system, he may end in the NBA in the upcoming years. Cinciarini is the new captain. Cinciarini is “heard” in the locker room” Proli added.
