Alessandro Gentile to decide his future in a week, Milano wants him to stay
Gentile's rights were close to being traded to the Knicks before the draft and there are three NBA teams ready to acquire his rights and make him an offer
Alessandro Gentile recently told The Vertical that he wants to play in the NBA. But it is not certain that Gentile will land overseas next season.
Alessandro Gentile’s rights were close to being traded to the Knicks before the NBA draft, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
From July 1 there are at least three NBA teams ready to acquire his rights from the Rockets and offer him a multi-year, guaranteed deal, La Gazzetta dello Sport added.
Gentile and Livio Proli, president of Olimpia Milano, had a two-hour meeting and the top manager of the Italian champions told Gentile that they want him to remain with the club next season too.
And Proli told Gentile that they will start the market considering him on board.
Alessandro Gentile asked more time to decide his future and a final decision is expected by the end of next week, right before the start of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament on July 4.
