Bad news for the Brose Bamberg camp as the club learned on Friday that forward Patrick Heckmann will be missing the rest of the season with a shoulder injury he suffered in a domestic game against FC Bayern Munich last week. Heckmann (1.98 meters, 25 years old) has played 14 games with Bamberg this season in the EuroLeague, averaging 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in over 11 minutes per night. The player will undergo shoulder surgery in the coming days and will have to wait until next season to come back to action. "Injuries are part of the sport." Heckmann said. "Of course, it's bitter that it's happening right now. But I know that I am in good hands with the doctors and then with our medical and physiotherapy department."
