Daniel Hackett: Brose Bamberg and Bayern Munich are two concrete options for my future

Daniel Hackett is in Siena for the Novipiù Special Summer League, a three-day with several youngsters and some of his older teammates as Rimantas Kaukenas and David Moss.

We had the chance to talk with Hackett about his past, his future and the National Team. The combo guard is among the 19 players named by coach Ettore Messina for Italy’s National Team training camp.

Departure from Olympiacos. I was told that due to my injury they did not want to risk. I respect their decision and now I turn the page.

Future. Bayern Munich and Brose Bamber are two concrete options. We are talking with both teams. There is a third Turkish team but the two more concrete options are the two German clubs. We are evaluating what is the best.

Return to Italy. We did not have contacts with Italian teams. I don't think this is the right time for me to return to Serie A.

Recovery from the injury. I am well. I am almost 100%.

National Team. The goal is to play a great Eurobasket. I don’t want to say more because it is not time to talk anymore but to do.
